The historical White Elephant name is tied to the 1887 gunfight between Luke Short and Jim Courtright. That original saloon closed. The name was later revived in the Fort Worth Stockyards, where the current venue appeared as CD’s Bar & Grill in “Walker, Texas Ranger.” The 1884 roots do not imply continuous operation at this address.
