The story
Dan Cowan opened Tractor Tavern in 1994 in Seattle’s Ballard neighborhood. Its stage has supported country and Americana artists, including early appearances by Brandi Carlile and Allison Russell’s band Po’ Boy. Live square dances bring old-time bands and callers to the room.
