Pioneertown began in 1946 as a working Western movie set. The building later housed a biker bar before Harriet and Claude “Pappy” Allen opened their place in 1982, mixing live music and cooking. Paul McCartney, Robert Plant, and Queens of the Stone Age later played its stage.
