The story

Built in 1931 as taxidermist Dean Eldredge’s museum, the Route 66 building became a country dance hall under Don and Thorna Scott in 1963. Willie Nelson, Wanda Jackson, Wynn Stewart, and Bob Wills and the Texas Playboys played here. The Museum Club is closed; this entry recognizes its place in country music history.
