Nicholas and Gay Dotin opened Mercer Street Dancehall on February 1, 2013, after their daughter Shelby wished for somewhere to dance in Dripping Springs. The family rebuilt after losing the original location. After another closure in late 2025, Mercer announced its April 2026 return and is hosting live music again.
