The story
The saloon's own history page dates a Longhorn Saloon at 121 West Exchange Avenue to 1910, when the packing-plant district was a city within a city. It thrived until the mid-1960s, passed through many proprietors and sat vacant for years. Craig "Lil' Red" Copeland and Jane Woods leased the building in January 2012, and that lease — not 1910 — is the start of Lil' Red's Longhorn Saloon. Copeland states plainly what the room is for: traditional country music, cold beer and dancing. Weldon Henson's schedule lists him here on October 3, 2026.
