The story
Keith's Place, known locally as The Palace, sits on FM 487 west of Florence in Williamson County. It is a local live-country room with a dance floor, booking regional bands rather than touring bills. Sam Platts and the Plainsmen list a September 26, 2026 date here on their official calendar. A Better Business Bureau profile records the business as started November 30, 2006, but that reflects the BBB listing rather than a confirmed opening, so no founding year is claimed here.
