The story
James and Annetta White opened the Broken Spoke in 1964. Bob Wills, Ernest Tubb, Roy Acuff, and Tex Ritter played its stage. Willie Nelson played here before the braids, and George Strait and the Ace in the Hole Band appeared early in their careers.
