Arkey Blue bought the Silver Dollar in 1968, while the room’s history reaches to the Fox Hole, opened in the building in 1921. Willie Nelson, Robert Earl Keen, Johnny Bush, and Charlie Robison have played here. Arkey’s “Daddy’s Sick Again” appeared in the 1974 Texas Chain Saw Massacre.
